It functions under the Department of Revenue of the Ministry of Finance.It is responsible for administering following direct taxation acts passed by Parliament of India.

Qualification :
For Post 1 & 2 - Minimum Degree From a recognized University or its equivalent.
For Post 3 - Minimum Pass in Matriculation or its equivalent.

Age Limit : Minimum 18 Years and Maximum 25 years as on 01/01/2014

Pay Scale :
For Post 1 - Rs 9300-34800/- + Rs 4600 Grade Pay
For Post 2 - Rs 5200-20200/- + Rs 2400 Grade Pay
For Post 3 - Rs 5200-20200/- _ Rs 1800 Grade Pay
